Welcome to my blog. It's mostly about my outdoor adventures, but anything I happen to do in my 'normal life' may end up on here.
Regarding my outdoor pursuits, I'm a climber first and then everything else outdoors including a tele skier, backpacker, camper, biker, and hiker. I live in Alexandria, Virginia near DC, but I constantly seem to find ways to get out outta the area for a weekend or sometimes longer. Thankfully I have family not too far away in the Shenandoah Valley. When I'm there I can do some "other" things like running the chainsaw at my folks place and getting my hands dirty in the garden. It's all very cathartic and helps keep me sane.
I also happen to be the Chairman of the Mountaineering Section of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (yeah, that's a mouthful), otherwise known as the PATC-MS. Our website is located here: www.potomacmountainclub.org
Oh and yes, I dabble in photography. The photo on my header was taken in the Tuolumne Meadows area of Yosemite National Park. I was coming down the descent trail from Cathedral Peak after climbing all day. The view is looking east towards the Cockscomb and Budd Lake. This is a composite image of three photos, tweaked with a bit of sepia.
